However, many face significant barriers to growth, particularly concerning access to technology and digital tools. With a majority of Nevada's small businesses operating in sectors such as tourism, entertainment, and retail, the shift towards a more digital marketplace has left many owners struggling to keep pace, highlighting an urgent need for technological advancement.
Small business owners in Nevada, particularly in rural areas and disadvantaged communities, experience these challenges most acutely. A lack of resources and understanding regarding technology limits their ability to optimize operations, reach wider audiences, and remain competitive in an increasingly digital economy. This reality is exacerbated for business ventures led by minorities or women, who often have less access to capital and technical training resources.
This grant proposal seeks to assist local small businesses across Nevada with technology upgrades by providing training and resources for digital tools.
